Developing his own weaving technique to cut, shape and assemble cow-horns pieces into a baffling puzzle using nothing else but the horn and a fishing line to create expressive and emotive portraits of mysterious figures. He focused on capturing expressions of black people with the natural colour and aesthetics embodied in the cow horns. His work is inspired by socio-cultural and people surrounding him. Nii Amon has since embraced his practice “Afrohornism” after his material choice, which has a unique relationship to Ghana and Africa.
